How do I start?

Unlike other medical clinics, a referal is NOT necessary to become a member of Bluewater Methadone Clinic. Patients are required to complete a Starter Package including patient history and patient intake forms, as well as have read the Policies and Procedures for Patients (note Clinic Policies and Procedures) and sign a consent to treatment. Next, contact our office to set an appointment. Bring your COMPLETED Starter Package with you to your first appointment. Due to the number of patients which are currently enrolled with BMC, you may be placed on a waiting list for your first appointment. We will try to accompany your needs the best we can.

You do not have to be clean of opioid drugs before starting on methadone. Prevention of withdrawl symptoms is a focus of methadone maintenence and drug concentrations in the body are expected.
